Asistir al Carnaval de Brasil

There's something about the Brazilian culture that I find overwhelmingly enticing. Maybe it's their embellished manner of exploiting their culture, or their expression of playfulness through their clothing and relationships. Either way, Brazilians are magnetic.

The carnival is hosted in Rio de Janeiro, and remains the biggest holiday in Brazil-- held forty-six days before Easter. Their costumes, music, and floats create a vibrant atmosphere, a culture I wish America would relish. Their laissez-faire attitude encourages them to live a life full of rich experience and pleasurable instincts-- both of which have the potential to lead to a fulfilling life. People in the United States lead such busy lives that they forget to indulge in natural pleasures. Sure, working hard is great. It's something we've been raised to do; I'm an advocate of dedication and success, also. But if we don't enjoy things as simple as music and dance, rhythm and sensuality, then what is it worth? So, props to Brazil. They know what's up.
